Stopped by the Mexican supermarket for lunch (a couple of days worth).
From the top going clockwise:
- fresh cut fruit with lime juice, Tajín, Chamoy, and Valentino
- aguachile rojo
- ceviche with mango
They add things like glycerin, sweeteners, oak extract, and caramel color for batch-to-batch consistency and to simulate aging.
There was a movement to make this public knowledge and for makers to promote additive free tequila but the Mexican agency that regulate tequila forbade it. I'm sure...
It is a great tequila, but don't pay too much over retail... it has a lot of hype and htf so some spots will screw you with price... it is about $60 retail, I'd pay about $14-20 more, but there are places that expect to get $120+ for the bottle...
My buddies and I are into additive-free...
