I was just looking at that. Let me know how it is when you crack it.
Where in SoCal and what brought you here?
I'm in the Beaumont/ Banning Pass area - east of the 215 on the 60. Not too far from Marietta.I love the Siembra Valles so this had been on my list to try...
I was in Murrieta - my son'e mom lives down there and I drove down for his 8th grade promotion. (He is 5'11" going into 9th grade - needless to say the Freshman Football coach was happy to see him lolol) About a 6.5 hour drive down from here in Modesto.
My buddy from up here was down visiting his mom in Seal Beach at the same time I was down, so they came out to have lunch with my son and I. My buddy stopped by Hi Proof to pick up the order for me. Where are you in SoCal?
Oh, cool - I'll put the word out the next time I'm in the area. Those clouds of smoke coming from the back of the Hampton Inn in Murrieta? That was me. lololI'm in the Beaumont/ Banning Pass area - east of the 215 on the 60. Not too far from Marietta.
gez having hard time finding some of these in ohio. Searched their liqour agency website and only could for Lalo out of the ones you recommendedIt is a great tequila, but don't pay too much over retail... it has a lot of hype and htf so some spots will screw you with price... it is about $60 retail, I'd pay about $14-20 more, but there are places that expect to get $120+ for the bottle...
My buddies and I are into additive-free tequila, so no flavor/color additions, glycerine, or anything else. I like blancos - I get more of the agave flavors forward and that is better to me in most cases.
My faves are Cascahuin Tahona, Siembra Valles, and Fortaleza. Lalo is a great tequila at a great price that can be found lots of places too.

I went ahead and bought another at lower proof.

I saw a bottle of the Lalo the other day, so I'll be trying that one next. I'm curious what you think. How was this. Saw it on the shelf and saw this one that was mentioned. Picked it up to try.

@highsierrasmokin' @MaytagMan How do you all enjoy drinking it? Neat, with ice?I saw a bottle of the Lalo the other day, so I'll be trying that one next. I'm curious what you think.
I gotta say I'm not a big fan of the Tequila Ocho Plata. It's a bit harsh compared to what I'm used too.
I'm making my way through the bottle regardless. It's starting to grow on me a bit.
The G4 is very smooth and tastes great. I recommend it.
